At Alice Lodge, we aim to provide individualised rehabilitation to residents through care plans which are jointly devised between staff and clients. Examples of the kinds of rehabilitation that might be achieved are:

  • Assisting individuals to fully develop their skills in managing their illness and its effects, and assimilating the life skills required for community living.
  • Working with detained individuals to develop an understanding of their situation and the benefits of treatment to a point where they can manage without legal framework around them.
  • Specific skills in such areas as cooking, self care, cleaning, budgeting and dealing with general everyday life. We can also train in vocational skills such as computing and gardening. There are also laundry and OT kitchens at the homes. Some homes also provide a computer room.
